750 T900 Drivelines Produced at Texelis
Over 750 T900 axle sets have been produced by Texelis during the last 3 years at its production facilities in Limoges, France, the company announced today on stand N7-310 at the start of DSEI 2017. The event is being held at Excel, London from 12 to 15 September.
Among the vehicles using the T900 are armoured fighting vehicles and heavy off-road logistics trucks including Lockheed Martin’s submission for the US Marine Corps, the ST Kinetics Terex 2 and 3, and Yugoimport Lazar 3.
“Since the introduction of the T900 driveline system it has continued to gain a strong position in the marketplace for its reliability and robustness with customers from US, Singapore, Australia, Emirates, Serbia, Russia, Poland, and South Africa selecting the system for their vehicles,” said Jean Vandel, Business Development Director atTexelis. He added “I am proud of our workforce who have worked hard to ensure that we produce these axles to the very highest quality levels required by our customers.”
The T900 is a modular design which can be adjusted to suit individual vehicle needs. The system includes independent suspension, wheel ends, differentials, and transfer cases and can be part of a complete under the hull mobility solution.
The system can be used on 4x4s, 6x6s, or 8x8s requiring a 9000kg weight bearing axle. The associated suspension system is a double wishbone design and can use either coil spring or damper hydro pneumatics.
Texelis manufactures the T900 under licence from Timoney of Ireland, the designers of the system.
