AVON-ISI Changes Name to AVON PROTECTION

Respiratory Protection Company Unveils New Name and Logo at Manufacturing Facility; Major Platform Upgrade to be Introduced at FDIC.

Avon-ISI, a market leader in respiratory protection systems, today announced it changed its name to Avon Protection. The new name and logo were unveiled at the company’s manufacturing facility in Lawrenceville, Ga.

Avon Protection has a long-standing track record serving the military and law enforcement industries. The company was called Avon-ISI after Avon Protection acquired ISI in 2005, leveraging that company’s expertise and long-standing reputation for outstanding service in the fire industry.

Company executives said they decided to complete the transition to Avon Protection as they prepared to introduce the company’s first major platform upgrade since the ISI acquisition. Avon Protection will announce the new platform that exceeds the latest industry requirements at the Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC) on April 25 in Indianapolis.

“Avon Protection has taken the best military-grade innovations and applied them to meet the needs of firefighters, so they can depend on our rugged life-sustaining equipment and focus totally on their critical mission,” said Mark Williamson, Avon Protection’s global product manager for supplied air products whose career with ISI spanned more than 20 years. “We are excited to unveil our new name and look forward to introducing the first new product for the fire market under the Avon Protection banner.”

Avon Protection is the primary supplier of CBRN personal respiratory equipment to the United States Department of Defense and is in the fifth year of a $600 million contract to provide respiratory equipment to the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force and Special Operations Forces. The company is considered the gold standard in military and law enforcement CBRN technology.
