CBRN GARMENTS SUPPORT AUSTRALIAN FIRST RESPONDERS
Two of OPEC CBRNe’s protective garments recently winged their way to Australia to support NSW first responders.
During August, NSW Police took possession of a customised order of #Kestrel CBRN garments providing protection against chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear threats.
The two-piece Kestrel, which is also the CBRN garment of choice for the Australian Army, was chosen for its high degree of CBRN protection balanced with a lower than average weight (less than 1.8kg), which provides enhanced comfort for frontline first responders.
NSW Police also received an order of #Osprey CBRN undergarments. The lightweight Osprey undergarment can be comfortably worn underneath NSW Police uniforms, with its close fit providing a high level of covert CBRN protection and breathability for police as they perform their duties.
“We are delighted to support the work of front-line emergency services Down Under. The air permeability features of these garments are a good fit for Australia’s climate, and allow for high performance in challenging environments,” said Chris Jackson, General Manager OPEC CBRNe.
