Eurotech: $6.0M Contract from Wenco International Mining Systems Ltd., A Hitachi Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. Subsidiary

Eurotech, a leading supplier of embedded technologies, products and systems, today announces they have received a contract from Wenco International Mining Systems Ltd., a subsidiary of Hitachi Construction Machinery Co., Ltd., for a total estimated value of $6.0M USD in a two-year period to supply the Eurotech DynaCOR rugged mobile computer platform for a power asset management system.  Deliveries will launch in 2013.

“Eurotech provided strong support through the proposal process, and ultimately we chose the DynaCOR because it was rugged and provided the capabilities we need to reliably connect heavy construction equipment to our asset management system,” said Phil Walshe, CEO of Wenco.

The DynaCOR 10-00 is a rugged mobile computer platform that targets demanding vehicle and industrial installations such as those in heavy construction machinery. With a compact yet rugged design and integration, the system withstands the mechanical and temperature stresses encountered in harsh environments while providing an exceptional set of communication options needed in diverse use cases.
