FLIR showcases solutions ‘designed for the heat of the action’ at Enforce Tac 2025

Enforce Tac 2025 (Nuremberg Exhibition Centre, Germany, 24-26 February) will see FLIR showcase its latest thermal monocular solutions for law enforcement agencies, police forces, border guards and military distributors.

The main focus of the FLIR booth will be its brand new Scout Pro thermal monocular. This next-generation handheld device empowers frontline law enforcement and public safety professionals operating in challenging rural terrains or unpredictable urban environments.

Enforce Tac is a major exposition of internal and external security solutions for members of official security agencies and the armed forces. New innovation is paramount if the law enforcement and defence sectors are to keep on top of criminal and hostile activities. Among the innovation leaders in this area is FLIR. Designed for use in the heat of the action, visitors to Booth 7-426 in Hall 7 will discover what is possible with FLIR’s latest industry advance: the Scout Pro thermal monocular.

Scout Pro offers extraordinary situational awareness with its 32-degree field of view - the widest available on the market - allowing users to detect humans at distances of up to 500 metres while maintaining a broad visual perspective. This balance of wide coverage and practical detection range delivers the vital data and intelligence necessary to patrol areas safely. Making its premiere appearance at a European exhibition, the Scout Pro is perfect for surveillance, pursuit or intervention activities, as well as search and rescue operations.

Developed in partnership with law enforcement officers, the Scout Pro offers 640 × 480 thermal resolution for clear, high-quality imaging in low-light or no-light conditions. Providing up to eight-times zoom, the monocular is ideal for both urban and rural environments, including open spaces, for the accurate detection, tracking and identification of moving targets.

Notably, Scout Pro features a reimagined user interface (UI) that improves upon previous-generation FLIR monoculars. By eliminating overlaid menus and settings, the new UI provides a continuous, unobstructed view of the target. Paired with the Scout Pro mobile app, users can take advantage of wireless remote observation and surveillance - perfect for covert operations where every second counts. From a single app, teams can collaborate and boost tactical efficiency in real time through live video streaming, instant media sharing and seamless content transfers.

Ultimately, the law enforcement and defence sectors require high-quality, reliable, easy-to-use thermal imaging tools. By providing a clearer view in dark and low-visibility conditions, the next-generation Scout Pro enables users to protect and serve with confidence, as visitors to the FLIR booth at Enforce Tac will discover.

Another innovation on display will be the FLIR Breach PTQ 136 multifunctional thermal imaging monocular. Presented as an attachment to a helmet worn by a mannequin, those calling by the booth can discover how this advanced thermal monocular delivers that all-important ‘sixth sense’ by identifying the heat of suspects and objects in complete darkness.

The 60 Hz Breach PTQ 136 features FLIR’s Boson thermal core for advanced image processing, while a bright high-definition display delivers excellent image clarity and enhanced detection. The internal memory can store up to 1,000 images and 2.5 hours of video.

FLIR will have two speaker present on its booth for those wishing to learn more about the various innovations and how they can help frontline heroes succeed in high-stake environments and time-critical situations. Benjamin Mortlock, Team Lead Fire & PVS (Portable Visual Search) EMEA, and Peter Dekkers, Director Business Development First Responders, are the highly experienced FLIR representatives tasked with providing the details and answering visitor questions.
