L-3 Link Simulation & Training Awarded Contract Option to Support E-6B Aircrew Training System

ARLINGTON, Texas, November 29, 2010 – L-3 Link Simulation & Training (L-3 Link) announced today that it has been awarded a one-year contract option to continue as the prime contractor and provide support for the U.S. Navy’s E-6B Aircrew Training System (ATS). This contract option has increased the total program value for the E-6B ATS to $57.1 million.

The E-6B ATS, which is located at Tinker Air Force Base, Okla., provides aircrew and mission crew training with instructor-led, computer-based and simulator training. Annually, L-3 Link trains approximately 1,400 E-6B crew members.

In addition to maintaining instructional courseware, L-3 Link operates, maintains and modifies all E-6B ATS training devices, including providing scenario development and maintenance for the program’s newest E-6B Weapon Systems Trainer. Thirteen E-6B maintenance training devices are also maintained by L-3 Link.
