Lion Apparel Showcases Comprehensive Protection At Cbrne Convergence

Lion Apparel will be showcasing its comprehensive range of CBRN garment protection at the CBRNe Convergence conference & exhibition, Orlando, Florida, November 2-5.     Garments on display in Booth 100 will include the MT94 CBRN protective ensemble chosen by the Fire Department City of New York (FDNY), the largest fire department in the United States.   The FDNY has upgraded its response protocol to improve its ability to respond to chemical, biological and WMD incidents, significantly improving safety and decreasing the physical impact on FDNY’s first responders.   As part of the upgrade to its chemical protective clothing program, the FDNY selected Lion’s MT94 CBRN protective ensemble to fit its mission-specific needs and increase its response capabilities for technical rescue, patient rescue, decontamination and air monitoring.   Lion’s MT94 is a one-piece ensemble designed to protect against some of the world’s deadliest chemical and biological threats and is certified to NFPA 1994, Class 2 and NFPA 1992.      Other garments being showcased include the Extended Response Suit (ERS), a rapid response garment which is easily stored in a vehicle to facilitate the most immediate deployment possible.   The ERS can be worn for an extended period, effectively meeting the uncertain and prolonged operational needs of an incident's 'warm zone' by providing lightweight easy-on multiple hazard protection.  NFPA 1994 Class 3 certified with a MSA Millennium respirator, the ERS is a lightweight one piece coverall with integral booties and gloves.      Designed to combine the benefits of fast deployment with extended wear time, the ERS offers significant CBRN protection benefits to the police, bomb disposal, search and rescue and Special Forces, enhancing their capability to quickly control the warm zone and then manage it for extended periods.      Lion is continually striving to produce breakthrough products for USAR and Decon, believing that organisations should be able to select from a wide range of CBRN protection to ensure optimum capability to meet different incident requirements.   For example, building on the outstanding success of its Technical Rescue Garment produced in conjunction with Strathclyde Fire and Rescue Service, Lion is further developing the TRG's capability to potentially offer CBRN protection capability, underlining it's commitment to create the ultimate arsenal of protection for First Responders to choose from.    With a new wealth of options to consider, HazMat teams are invited to trial Lion's complete range of garments to see what works best for their requirements. Teams may also be interested in finding out more about Lion's groundbreaking fully managed TotalCare®service which takes responsibility for the laundering, repair and maintenance of garments, providing unique peace of mind support to guarantee that garments will always be fit for purpose in the face of the most unpredictable scenario.
