MOV'IT Security Brakes LC200 approved for 6000kg GVW

Road tested at TüV-Süd

This past July, an armoured Toyota LandCruiser 200 V8 weighing 6000kgs was tested for road worthiness at TüV Süd in Germany. This LandCruiser was equipped with MOV’IT Security Brakes. We are proud to say that the brakes passed the test without any problems and stopped the vehicle well within the specifications of test guidelines ECE-R13.

This is a huge step forward in gaining and keeping the trust of drivers, passengers and fleet managers world wide of this often-used armoured vehicle.

The results show that this brake upgrade was designed specifically for an armoured vehicle and is not an adaptation of an existing civilian product for use on an armoured car.

Specifications

Engineered and manufactured in Germany by ISO-certified MOV’IT, the brake system is a front- and rear axle upgrade, consisting of:

• 1-piece, drilled and internally ventilated brake discs: 384x36mm (front) and 384x32 (rear)
• steel callipers with 6-pistons (front and rear)
• braided stainless steel brake lines, reinforced by a teflon sleeve
• MOV'IT "Komfort" brake pads for instant performance
• brackets and bolts
• fitting instructions and an easy-to-use bedding in procedure

MOV’IT Security Brake Systems are designed with TSS Heavy Duty Wheels in mind, making maximum use of the large inner diameter of the 8.5x18 inch rims which are suited to the weight of an armoured vehicle. At the same time, TSS has strived for maximum synergy by working closely together with Rodgard for the high-performance APX Runflat.

New 9x20 TSS Heavy Duty Wheels with 1600kg payload can easily accommodate the 402mm diameter Brake discs on the front axle. The electronics of the parking brake are incorporated in the design, bringing the upgrade as close as possible to a plug-and-play solution.
