Paul Taylor Joins the ECS Business Development Team

As part of the continuous expansion and success of Enterprise Control Systems Ltd (ECS), Paul Taylor joins the Business Development Team bringing with him a wealth of experience in the industry.

Paul commenced his career by gaining a commission into the Army, in the Royal Corps of Signals, where he served for 23 years in a broad variety of command, operations and technical leadership roles. In the UK MOD, Paul held a number of key appointments encompassing capability, specification and acquisition of equipment for the counter terrorist and Special Forces area in particular, as well as leading delivery of both tactical and strategic C4ISR capability on operations at all levels of command.

As a graduate engineer he further qualified as a specialist weapons staff officer and was a member of the then newly formed Permanent Joint HQ with responsibility for strategic CIS for operations in the Balkans.

Paul subsequently joined a unique SME in the City of London where he was a senior technical consultant supporting mergers and acquisitions in the investment banking arm of the financial services sector.

Paul was then recruited by Harris Corporation to lead their business with the UK government. Whilst with Harris he led both their Government Communications Division and RF Communications Division UK for 11 years. Paul held leadership positions responsible for operations, sales, business growth and programme management and was instrumental in the capture and delivery of a number of sensitive UK government programmes to include manufacturing and product service for both the international and UK domestic markets. He successfully established Harris as a key supplier to the UK government for a number of C4ISR capability areas and introduced multiple new products and technologies into the defence/government inventory spanning surveillance, communications and cryptography.
