Peter Gilchrist CB Appointed Non-Executive Chairman of Enterprise Control Systems Ltd

Peter Gilchrist was appointed Non-Executive Chairman of Enterprise Control Systems Ltd (ECS) on 1st July 2012.

Peter retired from the British Army in 2009 as a Major General having spent his last three years as Head of the British Defence Staff in the United States.  He had over eight years involved in defence procurement and spent over four years as an Executive Director on the UK Defence Procurement Agency Board driving high performance in highly complex, high value, tri service programmes by coaching and mentoring Integrated Project Teams.

At the same time, he was on the Army Board of the UK Defence Council as Master General of the Ordnance.  He was also the first Technical Director of the UK Defence Procurement Agency.

Between leaving the Defence Procurement Agency and arriving in the US he was the Deputy Commanding General of Combined Forces Command Afghanistan.

Peter is also Non-Executive Chairman of Push Technology Ltd, a Non-Executive Director of Ricardo Plc, a Director of Synergie Business Ltd and Synvest Ltd.  He is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The Tank Museum.

Peter was appointed a Companion of the Bath in 2004.
