Phoenix Dynamics Limited
Phoenix Dynamics is a leader in delivering world class electrical cable assemblies into some of the most challenging environments. Founded in 1994 Phoenix Dynamics has evolved with the technology driven markets we serve and makes us the supply chain partner we are today.
Phoenix Dynamics began to export its products to overseas customers and in 2007 was presented with an Export Award backed by the UK Trade and Investment for our success with directly supplying military products to the US Department of Defence. A relationship that has developed and continues today. We are proud members of Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce. By working closely over the years our exporting knowledge has grown exponentially, we are now exporting our products to our customers all around the globe. The customers we work with can be confident in receiving their goods without delay and to the highest quality. We continue to grow and play our part as a key supplier in the Defence industry with the Design and delivery of Cable Assemblies, Fibre Optics and Electro-Mechanical assemblies.
Cable Assemblies are the core of our business, Phoenix Dynamics can cater for countless requirements. Build to print, bespoke to your design or designed on your behalf; Phoenix Dynamics are here to support your business needs. Through expertise and extensive experience, our ruggedized harnesses withstand the harshest of environments, making us a proven and ideal solution provider for Governments, OEM’s and all tiers. As well as the option of open or fully sealed systems and the ability to provide bespoke Overmoulding, Phoenix Dynamics produce RF Cable assemblies, Battery leads, High voltage Cables (10sqmm to 240sqmm), Fibre Optic assemblies and much more. We offer our customers the advantages of reduced build times, improved quality and on-time delivery of cable assemblies that are integral to their production line. We have built a reputation within the market as the partner of choice for all types of electrical cable assemblies. Our experienced team manufacture all products in an AS9100/ISO9001 environment and are fully trained to IPC/WHMA-A-620, a standard widely recognised within the industry as the code of practice in ensuring manufacturing excellence of cable and wiring harness assemblies. All our cable assemblies are built to meet or exceed the acceptance criteria of this standard, including Class 3 High Performance Electronic Products for critical systems often required in Military, Aerospace and Medical applications.
We have invested significantly to create a dedicated manufacturing facility for Fibre-Optic assemblies. Our specialist Fibre-Optics are perfect for harsh environments and manufactured to the highest quality suitable for Rail, Defence and Aerospace sectors. Evidence of our investment in high quality Fibre-Optic manufacturing can be seen in our dedicated Fibre-Optics manufacturing chamber, incorporating high-quality processing and test equipment. Our Fibre-Optic assemblies are built for Harsh Environments and are tested accordingly to guarantee robustness and reliability. Machine polishing is conducted on all ferrules to ensure potential variation is removed from the manufacturing process. Our interferometer checks to ensure that the end face geometry provides optimal contact. Once the geometry of the ferrules has been confirmed they undergo visual inspection using inspection probes to visually check the condition of the end face, ensuring a perfect finish has been achieved. Final stage validation includes tests for Insertion and Return Loss. All our assemblies are shipped with a full test certificate.
Electro-Mechanical Assemblies employ both electrical and mechanical components to perform an array of functions, such as; Power Generation in Electric Motors, Control systems (panels or various switches) as well as perform power enhancing mechanical operations. Phoenix Dynamics manufactures Electro-Mechanical Assemblies and can support production of fabricated enclosures, sub-system assemblies, testing and manufacturing through to the final product. This goes hand in hand with our core wiring capabilities. Our team of Engineers can assist you to improve production, from Design to delivery, whether for an initial Design concept or current large volume products and provide cost effective assembly solutions. With the latest 3D printer technology and in-house capability using advanced CAD systems, we can create rapid prototypes ensuring you stay on target with your project. Quality is at the heart of our company and our manufacturing facility is configured to provide excellent product mechanical and electrical protection during all stages of manufacture. This includes the provision of ESD protected and soft surface assembly areas.
Our specialised service and repair team are used by customers to support both off-site and on-site problems with existing products, either in manufacturing or in service. We provide cable assembly troubleshooting services, including survey and repair, and provide a reverse engineering service to deliver new line replaceable products into the manufacturing process or into operational service. We provide the engineers, the tools, the skills and the experience to deliver quick, effective and robust solutions into use. Customers can use our service offer either as a reactive solution on-site or off-site as and when they need it or can engage in a ‘by the hour’ contract to receive proactive support over a complete programme or product range. We do not need to be the original manufacturer of the equipment we are supporting as we have a wide base of knowledge and experience to rely upon, plus the ability to support from two fully capable UK manufacturing sites.
