Land Defence

Our range of land defence products include:

• TN15E+ Tracked Vehicle Transmission
  The TN15E+ is the latest generation in a family of cross drive transmissions with integral steering system, suitable for tracked armoured personnel carriers and armoured fighting vehicles up to 235bhp.

The introduction of dieselisation and new materials throughout the transmission has helped in increasing the original TN15P from 195bhp up to 235bhp, with vehicle weight increased from 9 tonnes to 13 tonnes.

• T300E Tracked Vehicle Transmission
  The T300E is the latest generation in a family of cross drive transmissions with integral steering system, suitable for tracked armoured personnel carriers and armoured fighting vehicles up to 360bhp. The introduction of new materials throughout the transmission has enabled the power rating to be increased to 360bhp. 
• TN54E Tracked Vehicle Transmission
  The TN54E fully automatic transmission designed and manufactured by David Brown Santasalo is installed in the Challenger 2 main battle tank and CRAARV recovery vehicle. It is also installed in the Trojan/Titan engineering vehicles in the TN54ETS designation.

TN54E is within the Challenger 2 family currently in service with the Royal Army of Oman. The transmission features six forward and two reverse gears at a rating of 1200bhp with an option to increase the power to 1500bhp.

• Final Drive
  The Final Drive is the last transmission unit in a vehicle drivetrain, used to match powerpack performance characteristics with the automotive mobility requirements of the vehicle. Directly hull mounted, these units also provide the structural interfaces for other critical components such as the track sprocket carrier and vehicle braking mechanisms.
