United Scientific Instruments Ltd was founded in 1964 as a supplier of defence and other related equipments to Governments and Government agencies worldwide. United Scientific Instruments soon established itself as an organisation which could be depended upon to supply impartial advice as to the user's requirements, supported by quality, cost effective and timely supply of equipment. With over 45 years of experience of Defence Supply, the current directors of United Scientific Instruments and key members of staff are able to offer procurement and supply services which are independent of the self interests of major defence organisations. This, coupled with the ability to provide funding where necessary and an extensive knowledge of shipping and export licensing, provides United Scientific Instruments’ customers with a complete solution to their defence requirements.
Military Battery Management Systems
United Scientific Instruments, in conjunction with PulseTech Products Corporation in the USA, has developed a Battery Management System which provides the user with the tools required to ensure vehicle lead acid batteries are always in prime condition. Working on the principles of Test, Recovery, Re-charge and Maintain the user is able to:
•Quickly and accurately Test the conditions of batteries;
•Use patented “Pulse technology” to Recover degraded batteries;
•Re-Charge discharged batteries with fully computer controlled chargers with the minimum of training; and
•Maintain fully charged batteries on vehicles whether they are in storage or operational use.
BMS has been shown to increase Operational Readiness and reduce costs.
Vehicle and Optical Spares
With United Scientific Instruments’ historical knowledge of a wide range of armoured vehicles and optical systems we are able to supply even the most difficult to find spare parts. United Scientific Instruments hold an extensive library of original drawings and repair manuals as well as an extensive stock of items. Recently we were able to supply a telescope to a foreign military customer who had been trying to locate the item for over a year. United Scientific Instruments had one in stock.

United Scientific Instruments has a proven track record in providing customers with a Turnkey Solution to their requirements. During this time we have built up and extensive supplier base for good quality, cost effective munitions and weapon systems.
