Our West London HQ houses a range of in-house skills including rotomoulding plastics, Aluminium, laminating plywood, HPP, textiles, CNC foam machining, and label & screen printing. We feel at an advantage with everything under one roof; cutting down on lead time and bringing that bespoke attention to detail to our service from start to finish.

An extensive selection of options includes climate control (compressor and thermoelectric air conditioning units), EMC shielding; fire resistance, and anti-static capabilities. We are constantly developing and refining our product range, pioneering the most effective preventative solutions for weather resistance, water ingress, rough handling and severe impact.

CP Cases' products are available in a wide range of standard sizes, and our UK-based design team can create a custom solution to meet (almost) any application your product requires.

The Design Process

Our design process and protocols ensure the utmost product integrity during the manufacturing process. In addition to robust procedures and quality assurance processes, we are ISO 9001 certified providing even greater client confidence.

CP Cases' products are available in a wide range of standard sizes. Our UK-based design team can create a custom solution to meet (almost) any application your product requires.

Protective Lightweight Aircraft Cases - AirShip

AirShip is unique in its class, a super lightweight protective case that offers a significant weight saving against size and will achieve weight/volume ratios of better than 20kg/m3.

The product is extremely flexible and can be built according to customers’ needs and applications. It has an outer rugged textile container with a honeycomb polypropylene inner construction and a laminated structure providing rigidity and strength to safeguard the contents.

The inner foam case and HPP construction can be hollowed out to meet respective needs and the outer rugged textile container can be equipped with a multitude of different finishes: wheels, shoulder straps, hinged lids etc.

Where weight is the enemy AirShip is the perfect ally allowing single man use and compliance to  IATA standards as and when required. The scale of use had no bounds, from a simple carry case design to a range of fully blown complex lightweight cases.

Tough Lightweight Cases - Amazon Cases

Designed to meet applications in defence, marine, security, aerospace, oil and gas, satellite and telecommunication markets. Amazon are tough, lightweight rotomoulded cases for extreme conditions in desert, field, sea and air. Accredited to MIL-STD-810F and rated IP65. Amazon Cases provide the ultimate protection for your equipment, wherever you are.

Ruggedised Amazon Cases are produced using a process called rotomoulding. It’s ideal for making tough, waterproof products, using a high-quality polyethylene polymer that thickens at the edges and corners for extra strength and impact resistance. Amazon cases have been designed to offer exceptional strength to weight and are suitable for military, offshore or other applications where delicate or valuable equipment needs to be transported or stored safely.

Tough Lightweight 19" Rackmounts - Amazon Racks

A lightweight high tensile aluminium frame, suspended by elastomeric anti-vibration mounts, provides superior ‘sway-space’ between the frame and the outer container and is the best possible way to safeguard delicate equipment. More robust and stainless-steel variants are custom-made for heavy payloads and corrosive environments.

The Amazon 19" Racks are highly resistant to impact and drop/shock, temperature extremes and vibration, as well as water and dust ingress. And can be modified to include features such as flame retardant, anti-static and low infrared reflectivity.

All Amazon 19″ Racks have a user-adjustable inner rack chassis that can be positioned 25mm forward or back from its central position to allow the accommodation of varying front panel and rear wiring needs.

Rackmount Collar AC Unit Features - COOL COLLAR

The COOL-COLLAR™ for 19" Racks is a rack mount cooling product which creates an airtight and waterproof seal to allow the AC unit to function in extreme conditions. Where a greater cooling requirement is needed, two COOL-COLLARs with AC units can be fitted to both the front and rear of the rack.

Thermoelectric Air Conditioning units are available up to 700W which can be fitted to 12U racks and COOL-COLLARs. Thermoelectric Air Conditioners are based on the Peltier effect and have no moving parts, except for axial fans. There is no mixture between cooled air within the rack and external ambient air. Depending on the total weight of the payload, the rack mount cooling (COOL-COLLAR™) extension can be tilted and wheeled as a complete unit.

The maximum depth of equipment that can be fitted in a 610mm rack (when not in the lowest position) is 750mm. The COOL-COLLAR™ can also be attached to a rack without an AC unit installed, to extend the maximum depth that can be used to 800mm.

Lightweight Racks - ERACK

Now in our third generation, the ERack is a lightweight, 19" ruggedised aluminium electronic transit rack, specifically designed for commercial and military applications when protection against physical, climatic and electromagnetic hazards are required, and where weight, strength and portability are critical issues.

ERack benefits from patented new technology. The external container has an innovative folded rim design, which eliminates the edge extrusion and makes the case stronger, lighter and more resistant to ingress by water and dust. The internal chassis frame is supported by special mounts which protect against shock. ERack is up to 30% lighter than other rack cases in its class.

Lightweight Portable Cases - SatRack

The 19" SatRack represents a leap forward in 19" portable rack design that allows high levels of protection for the transportation of 19" equipment as checked airline luggage. This novel design rack case is available in standard sizes of 3U, 4U and 5U versions with a 480 or 610mm deep, lightweight welded aluminium frame, which is fully compatible with UK or US 19-inch rack-mountable equipment.

Specially designed for satellite uplinks and other applications where 19-inch electronic equipment needs to be transported and deployed without damage. This ultra-light 19" SatRack weighs just 8Kg for the 4U version and allows secure transportation of mobile electronics systems as checked baggage whilst providing high levels of protection from shock and vibration.

Conforms to IATA guidelines for checked-in baggage.

Foam Protection - Foam Inserts

Foam inserts are an essential part of protective packaging, surrounding and supporting the product itself. The selection of appropriate foam types and densities is critical in ensuring the safety of a case contents. Our capabilities to design, develop and manufacture the most effective foam support or pack for each individual application involves processes such as punching, stamping, CNC routing, hand-forming and sculpturing.

Foam inserts and protection are used with the whole range of protective cases we market and the different uses are boundless; from weapons cases and camera cases to medical drawer cases and instruments. We apply the client requirement first and the resulting protective case or bag, see our rugged textiles, is the ideal solution.

Our many years of experience are brought to bear when advising customers on equipment support, layout and requisite attenuation against shock, impact and vibration.

19" Rackmount Chassis

Our 19" Racks suit a host of markets and applications and are available as standard up to 18U, and where required can also be designed for custom made enclosures. Lightweight, strong and impact-resistant they allow our clients to have fully deployable and operational equipment on demand – our 19" Racks meet the various and extreme demands of transportation in the most extreme environments meaning safe storage and protection of fragile electronic equipment.

Many solutions have bespoke configurations and are used in a range of sectors; defence & security, broadcast, satellite & telecoms, test & measurement, live performance and many others.

Durable, Bespoke Weapons Cases

Our Weapons Cases come in many standard designs or can be tailored to fit each application. Using Amazon Cases which are highly resistant to impact, drop and shock, temperature extremes and ingress they can also include features such as flame retardant, anti-static and infrared reflectivity.

Nitrogen-blown polyethylene foam inserts provide unmatched levels of impact absorbency and support for the contents. The inert nature of the foam means there is no chance of chemical contamination or corrosion to the equipment inside.

CP Cases’ products are available in a wide range of standard sizes, and the UK-based design team can create a custom solution to meet any application your product requires.

Advanced Plastazote Military Packaging Foams

Plastazote Foams are used extensively for defence contracts as they are capable of withstanding repeated use in testing military environments. They have a uniform closed-cell structure and excellent stability which means they are highly suitable for cushion packaging and protection as well as long term storage. They do not cause staining or corrosion unlike other foams. These foams meet DEF-STAN specifications in many areas including General Purpose and Explosives Compatible – DEF-Stan 81-116/3 type GP and Type QX respectively.

DEF-Stan 93-101/3 details the MOD’s requirements for foams manufactured from high-density polyethylene. These more rigid materials are used extensively for military helmet liners. Polyformes supplies a Plastazote HD grade to meet this requirement and manufacture liners themselves.

Rugged Waterproof, Shockproof and Dustproof Cases

Virtually indestructible, these NATO Stock Numbered olive drab and desert sand coloured cases are used globally, housing sniper rifles, IED detection systems, thermal imagers, satellite and surveillance equipment and communications. Ultimate protection with Explorer Cases.

Tool Control Foam Shadowboards

Tool control is a measure of ensuring safety, efficiency, improved productivity and savings within the factory or workplace environment, especially in the aerospace and automotive fields. With a simple and highly effective method of instantly seeing that all of the required tools for the required job are in place, work can begin in the knowledge that the job or shift should be free of any tooling issues.

The benefits of having properly organised tool storage and control include -

  • rapid tool location for instant use
  • protection of expensive kit
  • prevention of tools sliding around during transit
  • avoids loss or theft of tools
  • easy to see if tools are not replaced
  • safety and peace of mind as tools will not be left within aircraft/vehicles/machine

Polyformes are able to print full identification numbers, instructions and images, in colour, on the foam trays. This not only enhances product but makes for a fail-safe utilisation of tooling per requirement.

Aluminium Containers including Fly Away Packs

Aluminium alloy cases are ideal for transportation by air owing to their very light weight and excellent stacking facility. Standard Fly Away packs are used by the Armed Forces for general kit deployment. Bespoke containers can be made special to content with or without foam supports and cushioning.
